The indoors hull on mine broke, I found hot glue perfect for a very strong repair. I think I turned my settings down way too low, the wind carries mine off!

hey Squirrel, now i have a problem the drone will not stabilize it goes up and stops where its suposed to but then it starts going up more and more i was wondering if you had this problem or if you know how to fix it.

hey Squirrel, i was wondering if i charge the ar drones stock battery pack on a good lipo charger to speed up the charging process. also the battery says you cant charge through the discarge leads i was wondering if that was true. thanks

Well crap, I guess I won’t get one. I thought they had a radio with them. I won’t buy an ipad, and I sure as HELL will NOT buy a shitty iphone. It does look like a lot of fun though. Once again…great vid!

@Jiddyrome1 As long as they are the same weight or less. Of course they want you to buy their batteries. How else are they going to make some cash? =P Lipo is a lipo. 3s 11.1V is 11.1V.

hey Squirrel, I have one of these on the way and was wondering if you’ve personally tried other brand batteries aside from the stock? On Parrott’s website, they state that only AR drone battery packs should be used and I’m guessing that is wrong. I purchased some Turnigy 3s 1300mah 30 c lipos. you think they would be fine? I just have to change the connectors to Tamiya. And whats the deal with the reverse polarity on the batteries?

@holmes730 Any number of things. Check out my “basic nitro troubleshooting” guide/ video. It goes through things to look for to identify the area that is faulty. If you need specific help after watching the video, then please post up on that video, and I will help you in detail and to what you specifically need.

The Zippy Flightmax 1300mA Lipo Pack is a perfect fit for the Drone. It will extend your runtime a lot and is lighter than the standard pack so it reduces the strain on the Drone’s motors. And that for 7 dollars is a nice upgrade.

@imjansd Since I filmed this it has been brought to my attention that it will work on the touch and also there is a android app. I have not tried it on any of those to confirm though.

@RobscoRC The latest patch fixed a lot of the bugs that I have found. My main issue is keeping it synced.

As for durability, I had it slamming against copiers, walls, etc in the office. I accidentally got a finger in the blades, caught on boxes in the garage, hit an RC in the shop, slammed into several doors when flying it through the house while I was far away, slammed into side of the house while outside and I never broke anything other than parts that needed to be re-glued.

The LiPo can be replaced with one with more capacity? Maybe a 2000-2200mAh one?
I see that it has a Molex-Tamiya connector so I think it could be possible..
